The Piedmont Aviation Historical Society was established in 1996 by Thomas H. Davis, founder and retired chairman of Piedmont Aviation, Inc., for the purpose of producing, marketing and selling a book together with a video on the history of Piedmont Aviation, Inc.

In addition to documenting the history of Piedmont, the Piedmont Aviation Historical Society's mission is to provide and maintain the JetPiedmont.com website and PAHS Offices for the purpose of preserving Piedmont memorabilia as well as promoting and sharing the unity and spirit among Piedmont employees that were a vital part of Piedmont's success.
